Never miss the release of your new favorite artist music !

The project

I love music and I never want to miss any release of music that i could like, that's why i would like to get notified everytime there is a new single or album that I could like. I would never be late to know what's new and I could share all my knew knowledge with my friends!

For all people that love music and love to discover new kind of music, we would like to create an applet that could make you never miss the release of new music that you could like. But how could we do that?

We created an applet connected to your favorite streaming music service such as Spotify or Deezer also using Webhooks on IFTTT. Thanks to that you could receive a notification everytime an artist that does the kind of music you listen to releases something new. On top of that, these music streaming services already have programs to find the new releases that you could like. So creating an applet about this is very simple!

How ?

Here, we are going to focus on the Spotify application :

To create this applet, this is very simple, all you have to do is :

• Go on the IFTTT website
• Click on Create to create your own applet



• Click on +this
• Choose the service Spotify
• Log in to your account
• Choose the trigger : "New track added to a playlist"
• Choose the playlist : "Release Radar" (a playliste created by Spotify that you will have to add in your playlists in your account) and then create the trigger
• Then click on +That
• Choose the service Webhooks and the action "Make a web request"
• Do this :


In the URL, put your glitch project

• Create an .env file on your Glitch project
• Go to : your maker setting page copy and paste the URL value for the IFTTT_MAKER_URL variable into the .env file in your Glitch project.
  

• Then create a new applet following the previous steps by using the Webhooks service for This and the email service for That
